What to Do If You Don’t Have a Social Security Number (SSN)

Updated this week

If you don't have a Social Security Number (SSN) but have an Individual Taxpayer Identification Number (ITIN), you can enter your ITIN in place of the SSN.

For instance, ITINs are typically issued to individuals who are not eligible for a Social Security Number but still need to file taxes, such as international residents or certain other non-citizens living in the U.S.

If you don't have either an SSN or an ITIN, unfortunately, you will not be able to complete the screening process. In this case, we recommend contacting the landlord you're applying with for further assistance.
