Resident Portal Log-in Troubleshooting

Quick troubleshooting tips for tenant log in issues.

If a tenant is having trouble logging into the Stessa Resident Portal, follow the steps below to quickly resolve the most common issues.

General Login Issues

If a tenant receives an error message while trying to log in:

  1. Ensure they are accessing the correct portal:
    https://resident.stessa.com/pay

  2. Attempt a password reset:

    • Click the “Forgot your Password?” link on the login screen.

    • Enter the email address associated with the tenant’s lease.

    • Follow the instructions in the password reset email.

After resetting the password, have the tenant try logging in again.


“Unauthorized Access” Error

If the tenant sees an “Unauthorized Access” message, this usually points to one of the following issues:

1. Email Mismatch

  • Make sure the tenant is using the same email address that appears under the lease record in:

    • Leases & Tenants > Tenant Details

2. Rent Collection Not Enabled

  • Confirm that Rent Collection is enabled for the tenant’s lease.

Once the email is correct and Rent Collection is active, the tenant should be able to log in without issue.
