A step-by-step guide for tenants to access the Stessa Tenant Portal for rent payments.

✅ Step 1: Confirm You Are Using the Correct Email

To successfully log in, you must use the email address your landlord used to enable rent collection for your lease.

  • This is usually the same email listed on your lease or tenant profile.

  • If you're unsure which email is on file, contact your landlord directly for confirmation.

💡 Tip: The correct email will also appear in the initial rent collection invitation from Stessa.

🌐 Step 2: Visit the Tenant Portal

🔐 Step 3: Log In or Sign Up

  • If you've already created an account, enter your email and password to log in.

  • If this is your first time accessing the portal, click "Sign Up" and follow the instructions to create your login using the same email your landlord used.

🛠️ Troubleshooting: "Unauthorized Access" Message

Seeing an “Unauthorized Access” error? Here's what might be going wrong:

  • You used an incorrect email or password.

  • You haven’t yet activated your login via the sign-up or password reset flow.

  • Your landlord hasn’t enabled rent collection on your behalf yet.

🔄 Step 4: Reset Your Password (If Needed)

If you can’t log in:

  1. Click “Forgot your Password?”

  2. Follow the link in your email to reset your password.

🔐 This process will also activate your account if it hasn't been set up yet.
