Most lease edits go through the guided questionnaire, but the Advanced Editor lets you rewrite the document's language directly when you need something the questionnaire doesn't support.
Using the Advanced Editor
What is the Advanced Editor?
A rich-text editor (Actions → Edit document → Advanced editor) that lets you rewrite, add, or remove lease language directly — useful for custom clauses the guided questionnaire doesn't support.
When should I use it instead of "Change answers"?
Prefer Change answers whenever the questionnaire already asks about your change — it's reversible and keeps the document's structured data intact. Use the Advanced Editor only for language the questionnaire has no field for.
Is switching to the Advanced Editor reversible?
No — it's a one-way door. Once you save changes made in the Advanced Editor, you can no longer return to the guided questionnaire for this lease.
Please Note: Clicking Done editing is the point of no return
Can I back out without saving?
Yes. Click Cancel instead of Done editing to discard your changes.
What happens after I save changes in the Advanced Editor?
The lease status returns to Ready to sign, and you can proceed directly to sending it for signature.
