How To Edit A Property

How to update property details, units, photos, and portfolio names in Stessa.

Stessa's clean interface is designed for simplicity, but behind the scenes, it offers powerful tools to manage your property data. Here’s how to make updates across various property elements.

Edit Basic Property Details & Financials

To update property info like type, size, or acquisition details:

  1. Navigate to your Properties page

  2. Click the the property you want to edit

  3. On the Property Details card, click the Edit

You can update:

  • Property Name

  • Property Type

  • Neighborhood

  • Lot Size

  • Year Built

  • Acquisition Details (e.g., price, date)

Note: Changing the property name won’t affect the unique address used by Stessa to match public records. If incorrect data is pulled, use the chat icon to contact Customer Success.

Edit Beds, Baths, & Unit Details

To update unit-specific information:

  1. Scroll down to the Units section of the Property Details page

  2. Click the three-dot menu (⋮) next to the unit

  3. Select “Edit Unit”

You can modify:

  • Rental Type (Long-term, Short-term, Other Income)

  • Unit Name

  • Beds & Baths

  • Square Footage

  • Market Rent

  • Unit Notes

Add & Update Property Photos

Want to replace or rearrange photos?

  1. Hover over the property photo and click Edit

  2. Reorder photos, delete existing ones, or upload new images

Edit Portfolio Names

To rename a portfolio:

  1. Go to your Properties page

  2. Click the three-dot menu (⋮) next to the portfolio name

  3. Select “Edit Portfolio Name”

  4. Enter the new name in the pop-up window
