Whether it’s vendor phone numbers, utility account info, or renovation history, keeping key details in one place saves time. Stessa's free-form Notes fields help you store and access this information across your properties—especially when you're on the go.
Tip: Notes are accessible in both the web and mobile apps, making them great for referencing in the field.
Property-Level Notes
Where to Find:
Go to Properties
Click on a property
Scroll down to the Property notes card
Click "Add note"
What to Include:
Utility account numbers (water, gas, electric)
Trash pickup days
Local service provider contacts
HOA codes or lockbox combinations
Any other useful information
Markdown Support:
The Property Notes field supports Markdown for formatting. Add bold text, line breaks, links, and more. Use the Markdown Cheatsheet for reference and instructions.

Unit-Level Notes
Where to Find:
Option A:
Open the Property Details
Scroll to the Units section
Click the 3 dots and select "Edit Unit"
Add your notes
Option B
Go to Leases & Tenants and locate the Unit
Click on Unit Notes
Type your notes
Best For:
Renovation history (e.g., kitchen remodel dates)
Appliance replacements (e.g., water heater or AC)
Notes specific to individual units
Formatting:
Text-only (Markdown not supported)
Tenancy Notes
Where to Find:
Go to Leases & Tenants
Click on a tenant's name to open their details
Scroll to the “Tenancy Notes” field
Best For:
Tenant preferences or quirks
Pet names or family info for more personal service
Lease-specific reminders
Formatting:
Text-only (Markdown not supported)
