Managing Your Connected Accounts

Suggested configurations for smooth, automatic transaction importing

Updated this week

Stessa becomes exponentially more powerful once your accounts are connected and properly configured.

All connections are managed via your Connected Accounts page.

Editing a Financial Account

To update an account’s settings:

  1. Hover over the account

  2. Click the blue pencil icon to the right

  3. In the Edit Account menu, you can:

    • Change the account name

    • Update import preferences

    • Reassign the property

  4. Click Save to confirm your changes

Assigning Financial Accounts

One Financial Account → One Property

  1. Set the account to “Import Automatically”

  2. Assign it to the corresponding Property

By default, Stessa will attempt to import up to 6 months of historical data, depending on your financial institution's availability.

You must configure each individual account—even if multiple accounts belong to the same financial institution.

One Financial Account → Multiple Properties

If a single account includes transactions for multiple properties:

  • Set the account to “Import and Review Manually”

  • Assign individual transactions to the correct properties via the Transactions page

This gives you full control over property-level assignment for each transaction.

Multiple Financial Accounts → One Property

If you manage a property using multiple financial accounts:

  • Assign each account to the same property with “Import Automatically”

  • There’s no limit to the number of financial accounts you can associate with one property

Uploading Transactions via File

If your institution isn’t supported you can upload transactions manually using QIF or CSV format. Learn more: Upload Transactions Data (QIF, CSV) ›
