Security First:
Stessa uses secure, one-way data imports. Your credentials are never stored or visible to Stessa, and nothing you do in Stessa can alter your actual financial accounts.
How to Link a Bank or Credit Card Account
Go to your Connected Accounts page.
Click + Add Bank.
Slowly type your financial institution’s name. Select the best match (look for "Business" or "Personal" variations).
Enter your online banking credentials and follow any security prompts.
Once authenticated, Stessa will begin importing transactions (this may take up to 24 hours).
Assign Accounts to Properties
After linking, assign each account:
Directly to a property – if it serves a single property
At the portfolio level or "Import & Review" – if used for multiple properties
"Import & Review" will allow you to manually review each transaction and assign appropriately
Set to "Exclude from Stessa" – if unrelated to your rental activity
At anytime you can "Stop Importing" to end new data syncing while keeping historical transactions
How to Link a Mortgage Account
Go to the Connected Accounts page.
Click + Add Bank, then search/select your lender.
Enter your login credentials and wait for authentication.
If transactions don't appear within 24 hours, contact support – some lenders only provide balance data.
Note: Not all lenders support full transaction feeds. We can request expanded support on your behalf.

Link a Property Management Account
Stessa supports automatic data imports from PMs that post transactions via AppFolio and Propertyware.
