Step 1: Clean Up Property Addresses
This connection works best when the property address in Stessa closely matches the property address in Propertyware. Ask your property manager to confirm that the property addresses in Propertyware match the actual street addresses.
Step 2: Go to External Accounts in Stessa
Go to the Connected Accounts page.
Click the “+ Add Property Manager” button.
Step 3: Enter Propertyware Login Details
In the connection form, enter the full URL you use to log into Propertyware.
(It should end in/owner.action
)Add your username and password.
Submit the form to begin the connection process.
Step 4: Wait for Data to Import
You’ll see a “Refreshing” status—this means Stessa is fetching your data.
You can continue using Stessa while this runs in the background.
It may take up to 5 minutes (or longer) depending on how much data needs to load.
Step 5: Check Your Transactions Page
After the sync completes, go to your Transactions page.
You should start seeing imported income and expense data. If you have a lot of data to import, this can take awhile.
If you're still not seeing new transactions after 24 hours, reach out to support through the messenger in the bottom right corner. We'll take a look and get it sorted out for you.
Refreshing or Troubleshooting the Connection
If your Propertyware connection stops importing data:
Go to the Connected Accounts page
Look for a red "Action Required" notice next to the account.
Click the gear icon next to your Property Manager’s name.
Select “Refresh Account” and follow the prompts.
