TransUnion Full Credit Report

The screening is dependent on the applicant completing an authorization and identity verification. An email is sent to the applicant with a link to a secure portal.

Applicant Step #1: They will provide their personal information

The applicant will be asked to enter basic personal information such as full name, date of birth, current address and SSN or ITIN.

Applicant Step #2: IDMA Verification

They will answer IDMA questions, sometimes referred to as "out of wallet" questions.

These questions are used to verify the identity of the applicant and will be questions that they should know the answer to such as "What was the make of your first car?"

Applicant Step #3: Pay for the report

If you requested that the applicant pays for the report they will be taken to the payment page.

At this point the TransUnion report will be completed and ready to view.

RentPrep Background Check

The RentPrep Background Check is completed by in-house FCRA Certified Screeners, the applicant is not involved in this process.

Once the applicant completes the identity verification with TransUnion, RentPrep is sent the applicants verified information and will begin processing the background check report.

Typically this report is completed within an hour during business hours. A Screener will notify you if there is any delay in the processing time.

Income Verification Report Add-On

The Income Verification Report does require the applicants involvement. Once the applicant completes the identity verification with TransUnion, they will receive an email from incomeverification@payscore.com to connect their online banking through a secure portal. This process only takes a few minutes.

Applicant Step #1: Connect

The applicant will access a secure portal to connect their bank account. Their online banking username and password is required.

Applicant Step #2: Confirm

Once the deposit data is collected, the applicant will be provided the opportunity to review the report. At this time the applicant can also include an explanation if they'd like. The applicant cannot change any of the data on the report.

Applicant Step #3: Share

The applicant simply clicks Share and the report will be available within your account.
